Trump, Sexism and Power
Does Donald Trump have a problem with sexism? A New York Times investigation has got the US talking; we'll discuss it and also look at the French debate over sexual harrassment.
Is it becoming easier to challenge overt sexism in the corridors of power? Two big stories in the US and France are raising the issue. The New York Times’ article on Donald Trump’s attitude to women is the paper's most read political article this year. The Times is now defending its journalism after Trump responded directly to it. And politics and sexism has been a huge story in France in the past few weeks after one prominent MP resigned over sexual harrassment allegations and another made a public apology. Will these stories make it easier to speak out about sexual harrassment in the workplace?
