YouTube and the music industry
The trade body which represents the music industry in the UK, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), says British artists accounted for one in every six albums sold throughout the world but it says revenues are falling because of YouTube.
The BPI says artists earned less from video streaming than they did from sales of vinyl albums.
Joanna Gosling, presenting the Victoria Derbyshire programme, spoke to Gennaro Castaldo from the BPI and Jake Isaacs, a British singer who was signed by Sir Elton John's record label in 2014.
