Puppy farms: 'People aren't doing their research'
There are calls for the government to ban the sale of puppies in pet shops and by dealers.
As the law stands, as long as someone has a pet shop licence, they are free to source dogs from elsewhere, including puppy farms.
Joanna spoke to Lenny Rolles from the RSPCA, Aran Mathai, who campaigns against puppy farms, and Alison Hinchcliffe and Wendy Jackson, who encountered problems after buying puppies from dealers.
