Buffon ‘not very brave’ says Jens Lehmann
Former Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann says Italy’s World Cup winning goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon “is not very brave at coming off his line” and is “not the best” with his feet.
The Juventus keeper, 38, has won 157 caps for Italy and was part of the side which won the 2006 World Cup.
“He is not very brave at coming off his line and with his feet he is not the best,” Lehmann said.
“Buffon is the most experienced keeper in the tournament but is lacking a bit of organisation.
“Together with the three defenders from Juventus they know each other so they are training every day and that is a big advantage,” Lehmann added.
