Who is new Southampton manager Claude Puel?

European football expert Andy Brassell says Southampton's new manager Claude Puel is an "authentically great coach".

The 54-year-old Frenchman, who left the Ligue 1 club in May after four years in charge, has signed a three-year contract with Saints.

"At Nice he's had them playing absolutely wonderful football and got the best out his players," he told Mark Chapman on 5 live Sport.

"This is an authentically great coach, which is great news for Southampton because he knows how to coach young players."
