IOC Vice-President: ‘I’m on the side of WADA’
Sir Craig Reedie is both President of the World Anti-Doping Agency and Vice-President of the International Olympic Committee.
Speaking to 5 live’s Stephen Nolan, he explained he had been excused from the last two IOC board meetings due to the conflict of interest.
“If you have a conflict of interest you have to make up your mind what side you’re on,” he said.
“Had I been in that meeting I would have made the World Anti-Doping Agency point.”
The World Anti-Doping Agency is "disappointed" their recommendation to ban Russia from the 2016 Rio Olympic Games has been rejected by the IOC.
