Sobers: My philosophy was to always entertain
Former West Indies all-rounder Sir Garfield Sobers says his main motivation during his playing days was to entertain the crowd.
Sobers, who is widely considered to be the one of greatest cricketers of all-time, turns 80 this week.
Speaking to the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's Pat Murphy, Sobers said: "I tried to adopt a style that would please the people who came to watch the game. That was always my motive and my attitude.
"I have always believed that people who paid to come through the turnstiles they should be entertained. That we were entertainers like people on the stage, that was my belief."
