The making of the All Star Band
The fantastical worlds of Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Lord of The Rings, Doctor Who and Gary Lineker have collided to create an All Star band.
6 Music鈥檚 Shaun Keaveny is learning to play the drums for Get Playing. Jamie Stangroom decided to going to help Shaun by finding him a band to drum along with.
Armed with just a rag tag bag of instruments, Jamie set off on a mission to persuade the world of non-musical celebrity to perform samples for him, which he would then hand over, along with Shaun鈥檚 drums, to producer Ahmed Best/DJ Starfaker (formerly Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars).
The result is an intergalactic Sergeant Pepper starring cast members from Modern Family, Breaking Bad and even Napoleon Dynamite himself with the world premiere taking place on Shaun鈥檚 6 Music Breakfast Show.
