Ban will likely 'increase the determination of terrorists'
The Head of the Catholic Church in England and Wales, Cardinal Vincent Nichols, has warned that President Trump's executive order, temporarily banning refugees and people from seven Muslim countries from the US, would have "grave consequences".
The Cardinal told Carolyn Quinn on the Westminster Hour that he believed the ban didn't increase security, but rather, increase the "determination of terrorists to make US objects a target", as well as the risk faced by Christian communities in the Middles East.
Cardinal Nichols also said he would be disappointed if a State visit by President Trump did not go ahead. 鈥淒iplomatic relationships are about talking to each other鈥, he said.
