Labour leadership question is 'settled'
Labour frontbencher Barbara Keeley dismissed the idea of an impending Labour leadership election, saying it was "the last thing" her party needed.
The Shadow Minister was responding to reports that the Labour party had held focus groups to find potential successors to Jeremy Corbyn, and to suggestions that his authority may be wavering after a number of Labour MPs defied his three-line whip on the bill triggering Article 50.
"The Brexit debate was always going to be difficult for a party which had so many Remain MPs and so many Leave MPs", she said.
We need to "move on now", and concentrate on the "lots of important county elections", she said.
