Tory infighting 'worse than Blair/Brown'
Labour MP Gisela Stuart mocks relations between Numbers Ten and Eleven, Downing Street
Following last week's Budget, and reports of tensions between the Prime Minister at Number Ten and the Chancellor at Number Eleven, Gisela Stuart said Theresa May and Philip Hammond were "worse than Blair and Brown".
Speaking to the Westminster Hour's Carolyn Quinn, the Labour MP for Birmingham Edgbaston added: "Even at the height of [the Blair/Brown years] you wouldn't have had Number Ten saying, oh Number Eleven never told us about this".
"What I find so extraordinary is that on the one hand, you have a government that kind of pretends it has nothing to do with the Tory manifesto of 2015 [...] On top of that, it does something pretty incompetent [...] And now they're fighting with each other."
