The Great Western Hospital in Swindon had a very special visitor today: Ted the golden retriever.

He visits with his owner Gill every other Wednesday to bring smiles to the patients, the parents and even the staff on the children's ward.

Pets as Therapy dogs are carefully vetted to ensure they have the right temperament for visiting the patients.
