Antarctica has more plastics in its ecosystem than expected - University of Hull experts

Scientists from the University of Hull have found levels of microplastics were five-times higher in Antarctica than expected. Microplastics which are less than 5mm in diameter are found in things like toothpaste, shampoo and clothing. It was thought that Antarctica was relatively free from plastic pollution.
