The women hiding cancer because of stigma

A number of UK women from South Asian backgrounds who have cancer hide it because of a perceived stigma about the disease, we have learned.

From a belief that it's 'God's punishment for leading a bad life' to avoiding 'unpure' smear tests, many are keeping the disease a secret or not seeking help.
