Should NASA be looking after Earth and looking into space?
Ellen Stofan, former Nasa Chief Scientist, expresses her concern about the future of scientific research at the organisation, and what she describes as a 鈥減retty clear attack on climate science鈥 from significant cuts across the US federal budget. Her view is that it would be irresponsible to stop funding science that can help protect us from extreme weather events like Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma.
