麻豆官网首页入口 Minute: On the war in Yemen - Young people
麻豆官网首页入口 Minute talks to 麻豆官网首页入口 correspondent Nawal al-Maghafi about a conflict largely forgotten by the outside world: Yemen. The United Nations says the war which has raged since March 2015 has killed more than five thousand civilians, displaced more than three million people, and left more than seven million on the brink of famine.
Nawal tells us how the war has left young people in Yemen depressed and disheartened about the future. The United Nations reports that more than 1,100 children have been killed, and more than 1,500 wounded by fighting since the war began.
