Online shopping has meant that more people can find and buy affordable original art to hang at home. People used to think that original art was something we鈥檇 always wanted to see in a real gallery rather than in an online one, but that鈥檚 not how it鈥檚 turning out. Online is proving to be a great place to sell less expensive things. There are no reliable figures for the size of the online art market but it鈥檚 estimated to account for perhaps a tenth of all the spending on art in the U.K. now. Kevin Mosely has been looking into it.
