Advent calendars are one of those Christmas must-haves that we used to be able to do perfectly well without. They鈥檝e been transformed from an inexpensive treat to a costly and sometimes controversial buy. Gregg鈥檚 advertised its advent calendar this year with a crib scene where a sausage roll was in the manger flanked by the adoring Kings. Winifred Robinson finds out more about the calendars we're being sold this year.
