What's costing you more in your weekly shop?
Since we voted to leave the E.U. the grocery price comparison website My Supermarket has been trying to track the changes in prices of food. My Supermarket prices a basket of 35 essential items each month. The basket includes things like tomatoes, avocados, apples, butter, loo paper… The basket tends to cost on average around £80, but in October the cost of the 35 items went up by £5 to more than £85. Jess Quayle has been keeping an eye on the food prices. She explains to Winifred Robinson what is going on.
