150 years on: The Shipping Forecast

30 November 2017 marked 150 uninterrupted years of the shipping forecast. It's believed to be the longest running continuous weather forecast in the world. Today it is issued by the Met Office on behalf of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and is appreciated by sailors and landlubbers alike. Weather presenter Sarah Keith-Lucas looks back at the history of the shipping news.
