Amika George on why she's protesting period poverty
A campaign group 'Free Periods' is organising a peaceful protest outside Downing Street to try to persuade the government to give free sanitary products to girls in the UK who are eligible for free school meals. The campaign is led by 18 year-old Amika George. She joins Jane to explain why she established the movement. They are joined by Sharon White, who represents thousands of school nurses who experience first-hand the impact period poverty is having on young women.
