Achebe鈥檚 鈥楾hings Fall Apart鈥
Chinua Achebe鈥檚 鈥淭hings Fall Apart鈥 came out in 1958. Celebrated for depicting the traditions of Igbo society in south eastern Nigeria, the book tells the story of a man called Okonkwo, and shows how his world is torn apart with the arrival of European missionaries and colonialism in his local area. Scholar Ernest Emenyonu reflects on this landmark text.
