Apple has updated its iOS and MacOS operating systems, to give the public more information about how their personal data is collected and used.

This means more transparency for iPhone users, who will be alerted when they interact with an Apple service that collects their personal data.

Our tech correspondent Zoe Kleinman explains what we'll notice and why the update is happening.
