Why this new soap is proving popular
Relative to their size and weight, goats produce a lot of milk – more than cows in fact! A milking goat will produce anything from two to sixteen pints of milk a day during the summer peak. Extra milk is often made into cheese, but some farmers sell theirs to soapmakers. Sara Phillips runs the Natural Soap Company on the Norfolk Coast. Clare Worden has been to see how Sarah transforms goats milk into soap.
