Salmon Leap | Shooting In The Wild
Nature photographer and film maker Andrew O'Donnell is at the River Endrick, where it's salmon leaping time! Autumn is well and truly underway, and now Atlantic salmon and sea-trout are nearing the end of their journey from the ocean to their spawning grounds. Now when people talk about natures great migrations, things like the monarch butterfly, wildebeest come to mind.
But the Atlantic salmon migration has to be one of the most impressive spectacles you can see. And its happening right now, here in Scotland. Now the best time to see the fishes jumping is between October and November. So there is plenty of time guys, get out there and see it for yourself.
