London Irish: Van der Merwe deflated by dominant Exeter
Franco van der Merwe knows how good Exeter were as they defeated Irish 45-5.
The result leaves Irish nine points adrift of safety, with just ten points left to play for.
"Today was just one of those days," van der Merwe told 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio Berkshire's Adam Williams. "Exeter played really well, and surely there's one or two things we can learn from this.
"We're not feeling sorry for ourselves... if you have a bad game, you can fix it in the next one."
And van der Merwe admits he hasn't thought much past this summer.
"I've signed for one more year, and we'll have a few chats in the future and see how we can go forward from there.
"It's a great bunch of players... I'll be very happy to stay here, I enjoy my time here."
