What difference does winning a Nobel Prize make?

Professor May-Britt Moser won the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 2014, for her co-discovery of grid cells in rats. She says winning brought huge benefits but also an 'oracle' type status that she's not entirely comfortable with.
