Are weedkillers safe for you to use in your garden?
Gardeners who have been spraying with weedkiller for decades are now wondering whether it’s safe to use. It’s because the manufacturer of Roundup has been ordered by a U.S. court to pay millions of pounds in compensation to a school grounds’ keeper who developed cancer after using it. Even though Roundup in the UK is slightly different, the key ingredient – glyphosate – is the same. Should we be worrying about using it in our gardens and in farming?
