Half of all women predicted to develop dementia
A new study from the Netherlands indicates that almost a half of women and a third of men will develop dementia, Parkinson's Disease, or have a stroke during their lifetimes. The conditions tend to affect older people. George Perry, chief scientist of the Brain Health Consortium at the University of Texas at San Antonio and editor of the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease, offers some tips to Newsday's Alan Kasujja.
