An Ohio father who made his daughter walk five miles (8km) to school as a punishment for bullying has gone viral and sparked a debate on parenting.

He was trying to teach his 10-year-old daughter Kirsten a lesson after she got a suspension from the school bus for bullying. Her walk was broken up over a three-day school bus suspension.

The video has over 18 million views and 75,000 comments. The father, Matt Cox, says Kirsten has learnt her lesson.
