London Black have been working hard behind the scenes, for the last few years, to release their debut record.
Ìý
They're a unique blend of rock and metal - and, as well as us falling in love with them, the organisers of Lakefest also said: "You really must check out this band!"
Ìý
Influenced by Slipknot, Def Leppard and Kiss, Andrew Marston described their set as: "A mind-blowing and speaker-blowing performance from a bunch of guys who know how to ROCK!"

Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Music Introducing at Reading + Leeds

We're hearing from the man behind the Reading & Leeds Festival - which, this year, featured Worcestershire's Peace and Becky Hill.
Ìý
Melvin Benn is the managing director of Festival Republic, who are also responsible for events such as Latitude, Wireless, Download and - in previous years - Glastonbury. In Ireland, they organise Longitude and Electric Picnic. In Norway, they run Hove and, in Germany, they have expanded from running the Berlin Festival to running the first European Lollapalooza. They also bought the Big Chill at Eastnor Castle.
Ìý
Melvin says 40% of artists now performing at UK festivals have been discovered through Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Music Introducing.

Becky Hill @ Reading + Leeds

Discovered right here on Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Hereford & Worcester, Bewdley's Becky Hill first sent in her music to us on the 1 November 2010.
Ìý
Since having regular airplay on our Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Introducing show, she auditioned for the Voice - and landed the programme's first #1 single.
Ìý
Since then, she's worked with a number of high profile producers and regularly achieves chart success with her songs.
Ìý
Tonight, we hear her chat with Scott Mills aboutÌýBewdley, collaborations and self-confidence.

Highlights: Kidderminster Fringe Festival

It started off as a celebration for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee - but the Kidderminster Fringe Festival has been growing ever since!
Ìý
Originally, it was organised by Sid and Sandra of the Boar's Head on Worcester Road, but when they left, the annual gathering carried on.
Ìý
This summer, they moved to the larger Batemans Yard Car Park on New Road where they hosted 25 live acts.

Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Music Introducing at Lakefest

Kaiser Chiefs, Happy Mondays, The Pigeon Detectives, James and Sophie Ellis-Bextor were all on the lineup for this year's Lakefest, at Eastnor Castle, near Ledbury.
Ìý
Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Hereford & Worcester also had tent at the festival, showcasing local talent from Herefordshire & Worcestershire.Ìý
Ìý

Musicians' Masterclass

Just how do you write a hit? Is there a formula? Where can you find inspiration? Which musical direction should you take? How much emotion should you put into your tracks? Should you rely on a hook? How do you capture that in a recording?
Ìý
Our panellists, this week, are:
Ìý
  • Paul Smith, the lead singer of alternative rock band Maximo Park – who's enjoyed success with seven top 40 singles.
  • Emily Phillips, who's been writing songs for major labels for more than a decade - including John Newman's 'Love Me Again'.Ìý

Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Music Introducing at the Worcester Music Festival

Our next recording session takes place on Sunday, 15 September at Annie's, in Worcester, as part of the Worcester Music Festival.
Ìý
Annie's Burger Shack is one of the newest live music venues in the city, having already hosted 30 awesome gigs since it opened earlier this year.
Ìý
The Worcester Music Festival was first staged in 2008 by Chris Bennion, who produces Worcestershire Sauce.
Ìý
He set up a website called NotJustSauce - aiming to put Worcester on the map musically.
Ìý
Taking place in multiple venues across the city, from pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes to historic buildings, river cruisers, record shops, on the streets and even in breweries, the festival is absolutely free to attend with hundreds of gigs to choose from from some of the best, new and emerging artists in the UK.
Ìý
You can find Annie's in The Courtyard pub on St Nicholas Street.
