Melvin Benn is the managing director of Festival Republic, who are also responsible for events such as Latitude, Wireless, Download and - in previous years - Glastonbury. In Ireland, they organise Longitude and Electric Picnic. In Norway, they run Hove and, in Germany, they have expanded from running the Berlin Festival to running the first European Lollapalooza. They also bought the Big Chill at Eastnor Castle.

Since having regular airplay on our Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Introducing show, she auditioned for the Voice - and landed the programme's first #1 single.

Since then, she's worked with a number of high profile producers and regularly achieves chart success with her songs.

Originally, it was organised by Sid and Sandra of the Boar's Head on Worcester Road, but when they left, the annual gathering carried on.

This summer, they moved to the larger Batemans Yard Car Park on New Road where they hosted 25 live acts.

Annie's Burger Shack is one of the newest live music venues in the city, having already hosted 30 awesome gigs since it opened earlier this year.

The Worcester Music Festival was first staged in 2008 by Chris Bennion, who produces Worcestershire Sauce.
Ìý
He set up a website called NotJustSauce - aiming to put Worcester on the map musically.
Ìý
Taking place in multiple venues across the city, from pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes to historic buildings, river cruisers, record shops, on the streets and even in breweries, the festival is absolutely free to attend with hundreds of gigs to choose from from some of the best, new and emerging artists in the UK.
