At once fantastical and familiar, Game of Thrones reflects both the political dimensions of various historical time-frames as well as a number of real world belief systems and religions. Ernie Rea and guests explore the way in which religious ideas are developed and used in Game of Thrones. Guests include: Ed West, former deputy editor of the Catholic Herald and the author of 鈥淚ron, Fire and Ice: The real History that Inspired Game of Thrones鈥�; Dr Jeffrey D Long, Professor of Religion and Asian Studies at Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania; Dr Jayme Reaves, Public Theologian and Coordinator at the Centre for Encountering the Bible at Sarum College, Salisbury; and Racha Kirakosian, Associate Professor of German and the Study of Religion at Harvard University.
