'I thought I would be judged'
Megan Hart from Derry, who cared for her terminally-ill grandmother from the age of 15, says she wants to tell her story to inspire others. Megan, who's partially blind, not only became her late grandmother's primary carer but also had to juggle school life. Megan, who's now 17, says Kinship Care NI, a charity that supports children who cannot be cared for by their own parents, allows her to get on with her life and encourage others. The charity has won a public vote to be named Best Community & Charity Project in the 25th birthday National Lottery Awards. Our reporter Dean McLaughlin caught up with Megan ahead of tonight's awards ceremony in London.
