Did the Cheltenham Festival help the spread of Covid-19?
Politics reporter Hayley Mortimer has been investigating the impact of The Festival on the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Her documentary is at the start of the evening show.
Experts say the Cheltenham Festival could have contributed to the spread of coronavirus in the UK. Around 150,000 people attended the four day event in March - just 10 days before the lockdown.
Six weeks later - Gloucestershire has the highest covid-19 death rate in the south west - with a hotspot in Cheltenham.
The Racecourse says the festival went ahead under Government guidance - and the County Council says the high number of deaths could be caused by a number of reasons.
