You can imagine Kreisler wowing enthralled audiences the world over at the end his concerts with this one. To say this is just an encore does Kreisler the composer a disservice. He cleverly doffs-his-cap to Bach and Paganini, and gives the feeling that you are sitting in a pre-war tavern listening to a local folk musician spin his tune.
