Reopening Oban’s tourism industry
The gateway to the Isles, Oban, has been one of the hardest hit by the coronavirus lockdown. A tourist hotspot, the town’s economy relies on restaurant and holiday-goers alike.
As part of a further easing of lockdown restrictions across Scotland, some of Oban’s tourism industry was finally able to open its doors this week.
The Nine’s Chief News Correspondent James Cook visited the seaside town to find out how those involved – consumers, restaurant workers and business owners - were coping with opening in the age of coronavirus.
