Misan Harriman: The film that changed me

In June 2020, photographer Misan Harriman's black and white image of a woman holding a banner painted with the question 鈥榃hy is ending racism a debate?鈥 went viral. His recent achievements include shooting the cover of the September 2020 issue of British Vogue magazine, which is the most important of the year and was on the theme of activism.

A powerful scene from the Oscar-winning 2004 film Crash has had a profound effect on his photography. Here he discusses how the scene's storytelling influenced his own approach to generating emotions.
