Myanmar鈥檚 ousted leader Aung San Suu Kyi must be released from detention but she should also pass the mantel of political power to a younger generation, political analyst Khin Saw Win has said.

Protests demanding the release of detained elected leaders have been taking across Myanmar, also known as Burma, since the 1 February military coup.
According to the UN Human Rights Office more than 54 people have died since the protests began, but other reports place the figure higher.
