Double-champion Patricio 鈥淧itbull鈥� Freire of Brazil met America鈥檚 Emmanuel 鈥淓l Matador鈥� Sanchez in the semi-final of the Bellator featherweight world grand prix tournament. Both men were determined to book their place in the final for a chance to fight the formidable A.J. McKee, where a $1million prize is up for grabs. Pitbull came into the fight off the back of a successful run through the 145-lbs division, defeating Portugal鈥檚 Pedro Carvalho in swift and stellar style in his last outing. For Sanchez the fight posed a shot at redemption, giving him the opportunity to avenge a 2018 decision loss at the hands of the Brazilian. As well as a place in the final, Pitbull鈥檚 featherweight title was also up for grabs.
