In 2011, quadriplegic sailor and former 麻豆官网首页入口 South sports personality of the year Geoff Holt MBE launched his Wetwheels project at the Southampton Boat Show
The aim was to allow people with complex needs, the opportunity to experience what it would be like to travel at speed on the water.
10 years on, the charity now has 6 vessels, based in Kent, Devon, York, Jersey and in the Solent.
The success of the project has far exceeded Geoff鈥檚 expectations, and more boats are planned. Geoff鈥檚 been talking to 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio Solent鈥檚 Neil Sackley for the H2O podcast.
