Anti-coup protesters in Sudan want democracy

This time last week we were grappling with the news that the Sudanese military had taken over the country - arresting the Prime Minister and throwing out the transitional government there. This weekend saw huge protest against the generals...with at least three shot dead and more than 100 injured.

Newsday spoke to Siddig Abufawaz, he's one of the founders of the Forces for Freedom and Change which helped form the previous transitional government: The December revolution would have succeeded without the interference of the military, he told us.
