Household energy bills set to be £1,800 in 2023, analysis finds
UK households are facing annual energy bills of £1,800 as far out as the summer of 2023, according to analysis of financial market futures for Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Newsnight.

The energy regulator Ofgem is expected to raise the household energy price cap affecting a typical household by around £700 a year from April, reflecting the spiking wholesale price of natural gas last year.

That would take the annual standard tariff fromÌý£1,277Ìýto £1,900 and impose a severe financial squeeze on UK households, pushing hundreds of thousands of people into fuel povertyÌýaccording to charities.
