Zelensky: How the legend of a wartime leader was born
As Ukraine continues to resist one of the most powerful armies in the world, President Zelensky has been lauded as the man of the moment.
A war that was expected to last days is now into its third month, and Russia's advance in Ukraine has stalled in many ways, and in certain places has been pushed back.
As Ukraine continues to resist one of the most powerful armies in the world, President Zelensky has been lauded as the man of this moment and has become one of the most recognisable leaders in the world - whether he is comforting the war's victims, berating Ukraine's enemies or demanding more from her allies.
Jonah Fisher explains how the war has seen Zelensky find his political feet, and becoming an active player on the international stage. Early on in the invasion, he turned down America's offer to be evacuated, and since then has shown himself to be down to earth and approachable. He's been seen visiting soldiers in hospital and Ukrainian families caught up in the conflict. Jonah goes on to say that, given the might of Russia, the odds are still stacked against Ukraine, but that "given what's happened so far to Zelensky, anything is possible."
"We're all responsible for our country. It turns out each of us is a warrior." (President Volodymyr Zelensky)
