Coventry Street Pastors are made up of volunteers from local churches and communities within the city. They patrol into the early hours of Friday and Saturday nights in the city centre helping people stay safe as they enjoy a night out and support people who can be alone and vulnerable.

They give out flip flops and lollipops and tidy away broken glass and litter on the streets and work alongside businesses and emergency services.

The awards, held in September, will celebrate the people who have gone the extra mile for others.
