Leaders of six of the country’s largest breweries have called for “immediate government intervention” to help with energy bills this winter. They say pubs will be forced to close as energy prices soar by as much as 300%
Pub owners said the energy crisis would cause a “real and serious irreversible” damage to the industry
The Department of Business, Energy and Industry said “no government would be able to control the “global factors pushing up the price of energy and other business costs”
