Meet the winners in the highlights of the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Radio Stoke Make A Difference Awards 2022
Held at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery on 24th September with more than 200 guests coming together to celebrate the amazing work of the finalists.
Key Worker – Stephanie Myatt for her work supporting people living with cancer and those bereaved.
Community Group – Chit Chat 4U for tackling knife crime, gang violence and sexual exploitation in Stoke on Trent
Environmental – Chris Parr at The Stoke 2000 project, reusing waste wood and products to make bottle kilns to celebrate heritage.
Together – Stafford Welcomes Refugees for campaigning for more displaces people to be resettled in Stafford and support local refugees.
Carer – Kareem Kara who gave up his job to look after his terminally ill father and lost both parents earlier this year.
Volunteer – Laura Carter for settling up Stoke on Trent Mums and Women of Stoke group and supporting women across Staffordshire
Great Neighbour – Peter Wilkinson, a councillor and pub landlord who kept his community going during COVID.
Fundraiser – Agie and Katie and the Collection for Ukrainian Refugees, for responding to the war in Ukraine and getting aid to the Polish border with days.
