鈥業鈥檓 ready to go to the war鈥� - Russian MP Popov
Pro-Putin Russian MP and TV host Evgeny Popov has told the 麻豆官网首页入口 he is prepared to join the army and be deployed wherever he is needed.
The Kremlin has launched what it calls a 鈥減artial mobilisation鈥� and said it will get 300,000 newly drafted soldiers to fight in Ukraine.
The move has been met with protests and some countries bordering Russia have seen large numbers of men fleeing the draft crossing into their territory.
Mr Popov told the Hardtalk programme鈥檚 Stephen Sackur he had called his military officer and told him 鈥淚'm ready to go to the war anytime."
