Situation at Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant 鈥榩recarious鈥�
The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has spoken to the 麻豆官网首页入口 about his concerns for the safety of Europe鈥檚 biggest nuclear power plant.
Rafael Grossi told the 麻豆官网首页入口 Hardtalk programme鈥檚 Stephen Sackur that the situation at Ukraine鈥檚 Zaporizhzhia site was 鈥渧ery precarious鈥�.
The nuclear plant has been under Russian occupation since early March, although Ukrainian technicians still operate it and IAEA inspectors maintain a presence.
Mr Grossi said that continued shelling and cuts to the plant鈥檚 external power supply meant the situation remained 鈥渧ery fragile indeed鈥�.
