Latest census reveals that Leicester's BAME population is now a majority in the city.
Leicester has become one of the first 'minority majority' cities in the UK.
40.9 of people who responded within the city boundary identified as White - the lowest of any city in the UK. The remainder comprised of people describing themselves as Asian, Asian British, Black British and mixed or multiple ethnicities.
Nationally the figures reveal the proportion of the population of England and Wales describing themselves as Christian has fallen below a half for the first time.
Among those living in Leicester are members from the Somali community who have been living in the city over the last two decades and more.
