'It was terrifying really. It all happened so quickly'
Jess Hardy and her husband Ben were expecting a wonderful Christmas present - the birth of their baby boy Eli.
Like most mums-to-be, Jess dreamt of her Boxing Day 2018 due date and holding her new-born baby in her arms.
But then at just 28 weeks of Jess' pregnancy, things took a turn for the worse.
Baby Eli was born by emergency caesarean section 10 weeks early. Because his lungs were not fully developed, he needed lifesaving breathing support from a CPAP machine for the first 24 hours of his life
His mum Jess explains how this special breathing support machine for babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Leicester Hospitals saved Eli's life.
